I think that the bible was written by spiritually awakened beings that had some very intense life experiences.

I took the jealous god approach to mean that a person who wants to be committed to god has to commit 100%. Moses leading the Isrealites couldn't just take acid or mushrooms one day, be in the god state for 12 hours, then call it a day. A man like that needs to be with the spirit 100% every day all their lives. There were times he slipped up, like hitting the rock, i'm sure most powerful men have to deal with the worst that comes from being human as well as aspiring towards the best.

When you are in that sort of spiritual state, where that realm is open then you also have access to collective karma and all the collective unconscious of man. Every mystic or religious man has always been in search of something. They don't look to what knowledge man has collected, they look to the universe.

God is always a reflection of the spiritual state of man. Man has problems reconciling himself with the world, with mortality, with other men. Man can be humble, or full of hubris. One thing I've been inclined to reflect on a lot is the message in three of the gospels that one must be like a child to receive the kingdom of God. Don't worry about the semantics, but look into gnosis. There's different sects of Gnostic beliefs, some that belief Yahweh is even "good", but gnosticism is fundamentally a thinking man's religion. I used to be on the fundamentalist side of the coin when I first got into spirituality, but salvationism and the whole "only begotten son" is church dogma. Modern Christianity is a religion based on guilt. It bashes you over the head with "you'll never be good as jesus, so don't even bother trying". Not to mention that basically everything even remotely esoteric or occultic is deemed as Satan worship. Look up the story of enki and enlil, and the parallels to Yahweh not being the only god. as well as the theories surrounding Yahweh being one of the elohim when there where more in creation. Once again in gematria, Jesus and Lucifer are numerologically equivilant to 444, and not by chance either. There's another pretty well kept secret that the events that transpired in the new testament actually occured before the events that transpired in the old testamrnt.
