Many of them are either coerced into making the statements or traumitized to the point of not being able to distinguish between reality and fantasy. Many are mentally ill. During the "satanic Panic," there were therapists who were found to be "awakening" false memories in trauma patients, both accidentally AND to suit their own agendas. I wonder if this happened to be caught over Lake Ouchita. Someone I used to be close with would go with me out into that area of Hot Springs during the nighttime to a property space out by the lakeside.
