It's been proven that the body loses some mass/weight when we die. Electrical activity in the brain stops. There's some energy that disappears. Energy doesn't work that way.

That energy is transferred somewhere. If we want to believe that our spirit, or some form of our consciousness follows that transfer, good for you.

As for me, I do not fear what may lie in the great beyond...I worry more about not spending enough time here in this form first. And of course the potential pain of that transition, of death.
