What book has had the most /x/-like influence on your life?
Thinking about giving this read as an intro to the /x/-mindset.

Excuse me, what did you mean to say by that?
Upanishads in my teens.
Also, This Book Is Full Of Spiders.
I read Prometheus Rising last year and followed it up with Cosmic Trigger. I turned me into a paranoid schizophrenic for a few weeks, which I think was the desired effect that Wilson intended.
Discordianism (or whatever you want to call it) is an impenetrable mindfuck. No matter how much I read the writings of Robert Anton Wilson, or dig deeper into stuff like chaos magic, I just get more and more confused and unable to determine if it is 100% serious esoteric knowledge or a complete and utter piss take started as nothing more than a form of personal amusement by mischievous weirdos. Again, I think that was the whole point.
If you are looking to find any concrete theories or hints and tips for a more '/x/-like influence on your life", you will not find it in Discordianism. Its more like a literary influenced psychedelic experience
some of these are repeats.... look at the wiki. if u can find it. 0xO

The secret doctrine by Blavatski really sent me down the rabbit hole. It was until years later that I realized how profound she really was. She may have been wrong about a great number of things, especially regarding time lines of earth's history, but her predictions of the future were often quite good.
Guys why whenever I read Crowley I can't get over the feeling that he's a hack? His attempt at biblical prose is confusing, and his methods seem more like dementia than objective study and experimentation in search of the truth. At times he sees LaVeyan in his level of memery.

I personally feel that Crowley, Wilson and co believed in magick and that they were attempting to fuck people up in serious ways. I believe it was pure malevolence on their part, and that the humourous/decadent side was just a ruse to keep people unaware of their true intentions.
Lmao. And what is their supposed evil intention? Crowley and Wilson are speaking to a marginal audience. It's naive to assume that it's their intention to fuck with people just for the hell of it.

The one in OP's picture, also everything by Philip K. Dick and H.P.Lovecraft.
Ride the Tiger: A Survival Manual for the Aristocrats of the Soul by Julius Evola has had the strongest impact for me, personally.

interesting take, that might be why they always seemed a bit off to me
