Hey /x/, I was browsing some hiking areas around me and stumbled onto this. Not really sure what to make of it. It kind of looks like a tapered run way, but it's got light poles or something right in the middle. There also appears to be a hatch on it as well. Not sure if there is some sort of perimeter set up for vehicles or are they trails?
I figured you guys have seen plenty of strange/unexplained things so maybe you could help identify it. Thanks
just looks like a landing strip
and those aren't light poles they're painted Xs
>>18979648
Zoom in. There are physical obstacles in the middle of it.
>>18979653
See picture.
oil storage facility
>>18979680
Where is the oil stored? Why would there need to be oil stored in FL where most of the oil pumped is sent to LA for refining?
>>18979689
This is the thing I referred to as a hatch. Having something underground in Florida is just a bad idea over all.
>>18979617
Private runway. Specific to certain types of craft.
>>18979733
Kind of getting somewhere. Could you answer two questions then:
1) Why are there light poles in the middle of the run way?
2) Can you show me another example of something like this from google maps?
>>18979723
I think that's a turn table.
>>18979759
How does the outer part, and the inner part turn with two flat edges?
>>18979759
It's a guess. They make large ones. Maybe it's a lift. For an underground storage area.
Your right, sorry. Just trying to figure out what it could be.
>>18979787
I am too man. Keep throwing things out there because at first I thought it was a run way until I saw the light poles, and then the hatch(?), and it appears to have a perimeter for a patrol. Still trying to figure this out. Hoping >>18979733 has an example that looks similar.
>>18979723
It does have an odd edge. It's difficult to see in the picture. I think what I'm saying is, it looks like it can move. Educated guess.
>>18979617
Cocoa water treatment facility. Zoom out an look at the road name. The water bodies are obviously man made (shores are straight lines) so they're most likely reservoirs. Also runways never taper. Good catch though.
>>18979800
Something like this.
>>18979831
Obviously not a ton of quick examples of automated subterranean hatches. Kek.
>>18979617
That's a weird looking water treatment plant. Must need to put all that asphalt in swamp like land for a reason though. water planes? A shit ton of trucks?
>>18979823
See picture. The water treatment facility and this thing are separated by a fence and security.
>>18979858
Possibly for vehicles, but the only ones I see are some cherry pickers. Also, why would they taper it instead of making it a rectangle?
>>18979831
This is the only thing I can think of is that it's a hatch, which makes almost no sense because it's Florida. You just don't put things underground here because the water table is about 10 ft down.
>>18979886
Pic attached
>>18979723
Next time you're at a gas station look for those near the pumps.
Not listed as a water treatment plant. In fact, no treatment plants in this exact area.
>>18979617
There's plenty of room for a small plane to land before it reaches the middle building where it can just roll past either side of it, thus the circle.
Also, follow to the entrance to this facility. It's not a legitimate airport, on the surface. Looks like a feed store for farmers. Or farming and construction equipment.
>>18979944
They aren't the size of a huge swimming pool at gas stations. I think that thing in the Op is something strange.
>>18979958
Can someone link coordinates? I'm on mobile and want to see the scale of everything
>>18979935

See pic. It would be challenging.

spooped
>>18979988
Thanks. Yeah there's like 200 feet on each side of that building and like 2000 ft from that x which is probably the touchdown target. Two small planes could land here seconds apart and split off.
>>18979944
Please leave the basement and take a look around.
>>18979988
There is something that seems like a radio tower at the top of the building at the narrow end of the "runway"
test
>>18980029
>Planes communicate their descent by flashing their lights in morse code
>>18980019
>ignores link stating landing in that distance would be extremely difficult
>can't explain why they would put a post in the middle of a landing strip
>can't explain why it's tapered
>ad hominem
So does anyone else have anything real to add?
>>18980029
I saw that. There's one at the wider end as well.
>>18980038
>puts radio tower in the landing path
Were you the head engineer of this project? If so, I see now why it's so retarded.
Here's another view of the area from bing maps:
https://binged.it/2pVzkTL
Also, people have spotted and wondered about this before. This is from 2012:

>>18980039
For jets they say 2,500 feet.
Small planes aren't jets. Theyre significantly smaller and move significantly slower.
Why do runways have medians? With 2000 ft before it there's plenty of time for a small plane to turn a little to the side.
Trust me guys I'm always down for the secret hidden compound thing but this def is a feasable runway for small planes.
Why is it in the middle of the forest? Idfk.
But that's how radio towers look, the circle is a gas tank, and the runway is very accomodating for small planes.
>>18979617
maybe its for RC planes
TEST
>>18980039
The larger of the two dishes on the north end is pretty big, 25' or so.
>>18980056
It's even marked.
>>18980105
Or even reverse that. It's a good spot to coordinate two planes coming in. "Plane A begin your descent continue towards runway 1" "Plane B begin your descent and continue to runway 2"
>>18979750
A lot of un used runways by law have to have obstructions on the runway to keep from others using it. We would install large....very large wooden "x's" on any runway that wasn't used. This place could have been refurbished for other needs. But the original was definitely a run way/airfield.
WTF are those circular patches of trees? They are one of them (the one with the question mark on the pic) seems as is the trees are planted around a crate.

Didn't even notice that.
>>18980144
FINALLY SOMETHING SOLID. Fucking thank you holy shit. Going to look into this.
>>18980134
When was the last time you saw a driveway a few kilometers long inside a fenced area with radio towers surrounding it?
>b-but muh airplane runways!
This is not the case here. In neither google or bing maps can one see any plane in the field. Plus, you can't exactly hid a runway, even if it's private, yet searching for "Hell's Bay runway" brings no results.
>>18980149
no problem anon. I remember seeing this years ago somewhere and it reminded me that it was a rcs facility. Five mins of research and wallah

Here is the pylon for mounting the test object to. I believe, and I may be wrong but I think the F-22 might have been used here.

Looks like you nailed it. Lockheed has 2 facilities in Orlando, so it would make sense for them to have a radar test facility here as well. Looks like mystery solved.
Thanks a bunch to this one anon with some info. To everyone else saying "it's def this one thing anon you need to get out more" please don't ever get into any profession higher than burger flipping.

At least your nice.

damn bro you should really go check it out. Maybe even bring friends with you and of course either take pictures or film it. (film it imo)

God damn it Nate fuck off we're not going.
>>18980275
It's not a runway. Read the fucking thread shill.
It was still fascinating. Thanks for the thread. Im glad we stuck with it. Seek truth.
>>18980275
FUCK YOURSELF AND YOUR DADDY ANON.
>>18980301
This 100%. I'm glad it was at least found out, even if not truly paranormal, it was odd and in my opinion needed investigation. I hope to at least see more threads like this were people see something out of place and it is investigated.
