Absolutely. Keep in mind though that most magick is subtle stuff though. Extreme fortitude, probability manipulation, altering or guiding perceptions down certain paths for your benefit in survival or tactics.
As for raw energy-manipulation, not so much because it's more effective to simply carry a firearm for further-distance effectiveness unless you specifically require to get into a location unarmed.
