What makes you think any of us care what you believe? Your beliefs are your own, we don't care

The universe has been fine-tuned OP, and we have no evidence of a multiverse.

In a similar boat, OP. Lost my faith 7 or 8 years ago, spent some time as an edgy atheist teen, and now, in my 20s, I have decided that agnosticism is the way to go. I want to believe in the Christian God, but the church is so fucked up and corrupt that I really don't know what to believe anymore. I think that if you go about your life avoiding doing harm to others, and helping people when you can, then God (if he is real after all) will still look upon you favorably, even if you didn't believe that he existed.

Why? I don't understand why you would want to believe in the Christian God.

I mean first you'd need to specify which "version" of the Christian God you are referring to. God in the Bible portrayed very differently throughout the different stories, but that doesn't even really matter because most Christians today don't know shit about the Bible and believe in a God that has characteristics they've either thought up themselves or they've gotten from other people/places.

Furthermore, do you seriously want to believe in a God that would send people who disobey his rules (many of which are ridiculous and/or totally arbitrary today because they were a product of their time) to a literal eternity of the most horrible torment possible?

I have no idea why a person who doesn't currently believe in the Christian God would WANT to. Believe in a God if you want, I'm definitely agnostic but I fully support the idea that there is an "intelligence" or creator behind all of existence, but I see no logical reason to want to believe in the God of Christianity. Christianity is just like most other religions, it gave God human characteristics, which in the modern day we should all see is retarded. Human's aren't special, we are a part of nature just like all other animals, we have evolved from other creatures, and most likely will evolve into other creatures again. If there is a supreme being, it's not going to have emotions in the way we do, it won't get angry or jealous. These are products of our physical brains, which God clearly doesn't have.

Because when you realize God is within you and is not something external you'll realize the infinite potential you have. The Bible is entirely metaphorical and it's all about you. Christ is in you, you don't need to go to church, you don't need to do any bullshit like that. All you have to do is put your imagination to change your reality for then you are doing God's work.

The only real reason there is to believe in God, or any other deity, is because you feel he exists. If you're not feeling it, look into other religions and see if there's any that resonate with you, or make a new religion that better reflects your own metaphysical feelings.

Being agnostic doesnt describe your belief in a god. The word atheist would be more suited for you. Lots of people are going to tell you to believe because it secures you for an afterlife but that isnt sufficient enough seeing as there are different gods and religions

Jesus is a god - most of the writings containing the word "Yahweh" are murderous blasphemy.

This is why the miracles attributed to Jesus are so extraordinary - because the murderous miracles of Yahweh are extraordinary and there's no reason you shouldn't believe Jesus rose from the dead if you believe Elijah raised someone from the dead.

Other than that - you shouldn't attend a church no matter how many devil worshipers it has.
