Why do we have hair on our heads but hardly any hair on the rest of our bodies?

Because the mother's vagina has razor blades that shave our bodies as we pass through the vaginal walls.

If OP really wanted to know he'd ask in /sci/, OP is just shitposting.
The real question should be why our hair grows indefinitely on our heads, but stops growing to a finite length everywhere else. like, why can't i grow 6 foot pubes?
It's more of evolutionary and social thing.
When it got cold, we wore furs and clothes to keep our bodies warm; but nothing really on our head/face. Especially when we didn't trim it/wore it long (and men kept beards).
Aside from keeping us warm (we loose most of our body heat through our head and extremities), it also protects our skin from UV rays from the sun.
Lastly, it's a social thing. Different hairstyles denote different lifestyles. We've kept our head hair moreso than other hairs on our body because of individuality.

Friction, anon, our bodies rub up against our pants and fray the hair to a breaking point which is why you find pubes everywhere. Seriously this is like fifth grade science.
