i have a lot to learn about hinduism but if i use analogism with what i know, i don t think, it s in link with shiva. Brahma vishnou and shiva are the development of brahma the male (the third) they are the roof of all the manifested thing in the fourth world and all thing are in the energy of creation, or in the energy of perpetuation, or in the energy of regeneration. Mother is more in link with pratika i think, when you use the trinity mother father and son, its use for the trinity of IT, which is, brahman, brahma, brahmâ, or the spirit, the mind and the Ego. And i think they talk about that and so if you apply to mankinf, so it s the son Mana who get married with bôdi and take the place of atma (he become the perfect refexion of atma in earth).
When brahmâ le male decide to materialize the universe (the fourth world) he send first the first two son. Thoses sons doesn t want to create but want to keep pure and learn what is the univers.That is the class of being what they call shiva. After the other sons create but when they arrive to create the human kind, they failed because they don t have what is need. So man start to become destructor ad just go in the way of natural physic, without will that give chaos, so brahmâ send his first class of son (manas) who is shiva to give the will, stop chaos, become a yogi and help matter to come back to spirit.
