I'm not a reader either, but what do you think of websites like facade.com? I know the readings are just computer generated, so probably random and meaningless. Websites and random generators are interesting, I find. They don't quite have the same feel as an actual tarot reader because all the site would do is print out textbook explanations and definitions. Some other things can be worse (i.e.: Tabboo: the 6th Sense for the Nintendo NES).

The important thing about tarot is how the reader applies critical thinking into the reading, with respect to the querent's question. But these sites and programs can be good for learning if you're a beginner.

Technomancy is largely regarded as a legitimate thing, to start off. I've found tarot apps to be accurate as well as divination bots and other online reading websites. There's a certain amount of fate imbibed into when you're selecting a reading, and what that machine is generating right at that moment. I feel that the synchronicity inherent in that is what delivers you your specific message from the universe. This is also sort of why anyone is capable of learning divination, and why so many forms are possible (from tarot to pendulum to tea leaves to yugioh cards) the patterns of energy are constantly reproducing themselves in all sorts of ways.

I'm not that anon but, while I was looking for a meme to post, I ran into a screenshot I took in which I pointed out that a certain reader was using facade.com. In my opinion, computer-generated sortilege doesn't have any validity unless the programmer specifically enchants the program to give it intuitive sortilege. This would require the programmer to be a competent occultist, of course, and I can think of a few ways to accomplish it. I would say it's still no match for good human sortilege, and there is no substitute for a human when it comes to interpretation, which is why really makes the reading. No interpretation, no reading.

That's something else I've thought about too but forgot to mention it- that fate comes into play even with what might seem trivial. There are so many variable aspects to each query being processed, like the time, as you mentioned. The sheer number of possibilities for each result has made me consider that fate is affecting what gets presented.

Interesting. I actually paid a professional for a reading once, and as far as I've been able to tell, everything she told me was nonsense. None of what she said ever seemed particularly relevant to what happened to me in the coming months or years.
