Apotropaic items come in many different kinds, the crucifix will work, simply because enough people have faith in its power. A pentacle/pentagram pendant will also work because it was a dominant symbol for a long time. I wear a sigil of Archangel Michael pendant.

It sounds pretty basic, but I enjoy wearing a pentacle necklace. I feel like the five-pointed star gives protection and it also helps to identify with others who may also be pagan / wiccan / magic-friendly.

But that's just me. I think creating your own sigils is most powerful.

This amulet is used by Turks. It's one of the few things left from the ancient Turkic paganism. It's very common in West Asia.

It's supposed to crack when it prevents evil-eye. I mean, evil-eye isn't the evilest force you would want to be protected from but it's something.
