I was watching youtube videos of universe sandbox and noticed that the orbit of Venus overlaps with the orbit of Earth. I tried to google search this but couldnt find any more information apart from this one picture.
What is this significance of this? Could Venus one day collide with Earth? One year is not really that long for Earths orbit, surely it would eventually hit Venus?

>the orbit of Venus overlaps with the orbit of Earth
Well, it does not and the video you watched is bullshit
>Venus has an orbit with a semimajor axis of 0.723 astronomical units (108 million kilometers), and an eccentricity of 0.007.

The distance between sun and earth is 1AU
