The "Lucifer" graphic novel series is good. It is NOTHING like the retarded TV series that is supposed to be based off it.

There's NO capes in the graphic novel series "Lucifer", which is a good read.

I don't think there are in the TV series either, but couldn't watch it as it sucked so bad. As stated earlier, the TV series Lucifer has next to zero to do with the books.

Fuan No Tane is a good read if you liked the works of Juni Ito. It's like the japanese version of the Creep Show comics. Short, unconnected stories in bite size bits.

I'm currently reading The Drifting Classroom by Kazuo Umezu, it's pretty cool because even poltergeist stole from that manga.

At least for myself I appreciate shorter narratives like that. A lot of what makes horror good is leaving the audience to speculate. Not typical with all horror but certainly bad horror will explain "too" much and kill the mystery. That being said I feel that the issue with Fuan no Tane is that the horror, based in Japanese folk lore, gets lost in translation.

Check out Dorohedoro for gore and a little horror, the art is a bit rough though.
I'd also recommend anything by Hideshi Hino, especially Panorama of Hell.
