Is there a surefire way to willingly induce nightmares and sleep paralysis?

Well, for me, sleep paralysis usually comes at nights preceded by stressful days. Im always on back on the bed when it happens, and my room is usually pitch black. I usually keep my eyes closed, but opening them at random times can help your brain build the bridge between nightmare and reality, also known as sleep paralysis.

When you feel a pressure on your chest and find it difficult to move, you are in sleep paralysis. Open your eyes and you may witness a hallucination.

If you want to end it early, try your best to yell or even talk with the being. Closing your eyes and moving your head works too. You can also wait it out if you like.

Auditory hallucinations tend to linger after visual and paralysis, so dont take it for reality.

Sleep paralysis isnt really fun but it is interesting and harmless, so no problem in doing it. It even inspired me to write a few horror stories! I hope you can find some use in this.

I learned to iduce it by simply laying perfectly still while trying to stay awake with my mind but not my body. I think some people try to induce councious dreaming that way but for me it was a sure way to just go into a pralysis. First few times were on accident but I soon realised that's just how it works for me and I tried a few more times for shits and giggles. But I'm no expert so there's that.
>>
>>18793175
>Closing your eyes and moving your head works
yeah, that too, trying to turn my head was only reliable method to snap out of it. Still not easy but does the job.
>>
>>18793146
Generally speaking i get nightmares if I sweat at night or if I eat too much before sleeping.
>>
>>18793229
>>18793175
thats what i try often, but i mostly lay awake on my back for an hour without anything, or just sleep in after a bit longer time than usual. weirdly i feel like when i lay on my back i have better chances to dream, or remember the dream as i usually forget them right after waking up. i fill my bodyparts tingling and becoming kinda heavy. and when i decide to move because i dont have patience to lay still anymore my arms do move as they were heavier, but thats always it. never had sleepparalysis even though i try frequently
>>
why would you want to induce such a nightmare on yourself?

The last time I was in sleep paralysis there was a horse with red eyes standing on top of me and it said it would kill my girlfriends mother to prove a point, the next week she had a stroke and passed away. Bad shit happens in that state of consciousness.
>>
>>18793146
I was telling people to sleep on the couch and intentionally make limbs fall asleep for lucidity, do this, but when you wake up do not move a muscle.
If you startle out of sleep it won't happen, but if you stay still your body won't know what the fuck to do.
This is difficult but it's the only starting point I can give you because SP will only usually happen coming out of a lucid during heavy rem sleep.

Good luck whatever the hell you want to do this for.

Also eat datura for a true nightmare, no more than half a flower in the microwave for 2-3 mins. Also don't do this.
>>
deprive yourself of sleep and crash in highly uncomfortable places/positions

your mind will be forced into hyperactivity due to the stress in your environment but your body will be physically unable to wake up, resulting in sleep paralysis.

no, this is not reccomended. this is not a fun thing, but power to you regardless

i just have to sleep on my back to induce sleep paralysis
>>
>>18793146
A method of induced lucid dreaming is to remain perfectly still in bed and remain conscious while your body prepares itself for sleep.

Part of that preparation is to stop sending signals to certain muscles so you don't move around as much while sleeping.

If you fuck up while inducing a lucid dream you'll manage to stay awake while you've shut your body down, giving you temporary sleep paralysis.
>>
>>18793146

Basically you try to stay awake while you're sleepy. Keep your eyes half open. Raise your eyebrows and only blink slowly. Like try to blink with your lower eyelids instead of the upper ones. When you start drifting away try to fight it, but not violently so to not awake completely. Eventually you'll be in the dream without even noticing. The scary part is that this way if you try to wake up you might not really wake up but just wake up in your dream again which can create the sensation of the impossibility of waking up, because you'll just wake up in another dream layer.
It works best right after you woke up and still feel tired.
>>
>>18795432
Same.
>>
Inducing nightmares is easy.
It is your bodys subconscious.
Just goto sleep on an empty stomach. Make sure you hurt bad. Stay up until you are too tired to stay awake. That will knock you out and put you into REM state. If you body is in pain, such as extreme hunger pangs, it will effect your dreams, into your worst nightmares. Your body will be hurting and your mind will do anything to wake you, hence induced the nightmares.
>>
I have an opposite problem. When I'm trying to fall asleep, parts of my body randomly act out without any input from me. Sometimes my mouth opens in a grin, or contorts into a frown. Sometimes my eyebrows raise. Sometimes an arm will jerk out. Some spasms are far more subtle. I just can't figure out what it is. They aren't hypnogogic jerks, because they don't come with that falling sensation. It's not restless leg syndrome, because my legs don't jerk very often.

>Is there a surefire way to willingly induce nightmares and sleep paralysis?
I'd go with an evening of Ouija and 10mg of Melatonin.

As stupid as it sounds, going to sleep when you're stressed or already on edge is a good way to have nightmares. Immerse yourself in the spooks before going to bed and your stressed brain will succumb to nightmares.
>on the flip side
Any surefire way to stop nightmares? I have them almost every night, I just want to sleep.

>my fucking face when i get nightly sleep paralysis

the sleep specialist doctors say theres basically nothing that can be done other than the general "be more healthy" panacea
>>
>>18796403
Have you tried upping your masturbation/sex? Whenever I don't get off my nightmares get progressively worse until I paralyze.
>>
>>18796403
Oy mates, are there any videos of people being recorded while they are being sleep paralysis? Like eyes wide open face shots. Or brain activity charts? It is a real phenomena that is well known, surely it has been filmed.
>>
>>18796417

>eyes wide open
why would my eyes be open? i mean during paralysis i can open my eyes but i generally choose not too cause i'll fucking hallucinate and shit. as for brain activity charts i dont know but i feel like i've seen it before and its basically the same brain waves
that occur during the wake-up period.

>>18796409
i've gone both ways
a near month of no fap
more than a month of daily fap

doesnt matter. I'm pretty convinced that it has to do with my abusive mother and traumatic childhood or something, like theres actually some shit wrong with my brain
i mean i have suicidal depression / anxiety / paranoia / self destructive urges, the whole fucking lot, so why wouldnt sleep paralysis be part of it.
>>
Set alarm for 2 am
Go to bed at normal time
Wake up at 2
Eat a bowl of ice cream
Back to bed
Many people experience nightmares after doing this, probably because of some reaction with a tired brain and sugar.
>>
>>18796268
when falling asleep your brain sends out random outputs to see if it triggers a rection from you to see if your mind is awake or not. if you dont react to these eventually your brain thinks you are asleep and paralysis your body so you dont roll out of the bed or the cliff while dreaming. these checks are the twitches you encount, and i have them often too that an arm or leg twitches, something in the face, sometimes my whole body twitches shortly.

the frown could be just your muscles in the face relaxing more then usually when awake which lets gravity pulls it down and makes it feel that you are frowning.

another thing i often encounter when trying to get into sleepparalysis is that my body feels like its placed differently then i layed down even though i certainly didnt move. this could be the same as the feel that you are smiling or moving your eyebrows. what that is i dont know for certain. i would guess that it happens from partial shutdowns of your body while getting ready to sleep and paralysis completly. this partial shut down could lead to a distorted feeling of the position of your bodyparts kinda like when you foot or hand falls asleep and you cant really feel where it actually is, or even anything. but this is just speculation.

sadly i was never able to get into sleepparalysis
>>
Sleep paralysis is a short portal to lucid dreaming for me. I never experienced anything malicious during SP. Few times I met entities like my pet dog, cat and one of my friends. Once a evil kinda spirit but I ate it.

How I can do such stuff is out of my understanding. Meditation might have helped but it's relation is uncertain so is other magical working I do.

Nightmares? That's just minds way to tell you that you are not in control of your psyche or your internal environment.

And again I'm here to declare truth: What works on me won't work on you. Your neural structure differs from mine and psychological settings are different. For example I have nights when I sit on my bed for half a minute...
>I really would like to dream.
Next thing I know I'm fighting zambies in post apocalyptic world.
>>
>>18798418
Uuhhh... Heyy... What I meant to say there: Keep searching. Eventually you will find a way dear OP
>>
I hallucinated dark figures walking around my room the last time I had sleep paralysis. Scary as fuck.

Anyways, I usually have nightmares when
I change something about my sleep setting. So try sleeping somewhere you never sleep.
>>
>>18798324
That sounds reassuring, but I never had these involuntary movements until four months ago, and I have them pretty consistently now.
>>
Is there a surefire way of NOT having sleep paralysis?

It has happened to me a few times and it's awful. Last time I had the hallucination of something vibrating being pushed against my head, as if I wasn't spooked of aliums enough as it is.
>>
>>18798968
Sleeping on your back always facilitates it. Cut that out if you haven't.
>>
>>18798940
i never realized them before trying either. i guess they happen in a state you usually forget about since you are close to dreaming. since you are however trying to keepyourself awake it probably changes something so that you are more awake when it happens and remembers. additionally you build then awareness to these which makes it even harder to forget
>>
>>18798497
>>18798968
When you confront new things they tend to be scary. Worry not. They might feel unpleasant but if you "meditate" beforehand about the subject you can have more "control"
>surefire way...
No... I don't think so. If you feel scared just try to remember that this is normal thing to happen. Letting fear go is kinda first of the steps. Sleeping on back can give you more change to fall in SP but it's not always certain.

Good luck.
>>
>>18795432
>>18795534
Yep. It's fucked up
>>
>>18793146 Take a medication that makes you drowsy the day after even after a full night's sleep. This will help you reach that state where you're half awake/asleep, I usually fall back to sleep after the experience and wake up a few minutes later just to do it again...even while attempting to force myself to move. Try as much melatonin as needed. Sleeping on your back also helps to reduce the circulation of blood flow to the brain, making the experience more likely to occur as well as last during.
>>
>>18800858
Dramine or benedryl will guaranteed do this but also are two of the most uncomfortable things to abuse on earth right below king datura.

I would just stay away but you did say 'surefire.'
>>
In my case I experienced a sort of out of body nightmare of sorts. I say this because it felt more like astral projecting.

At the time I was extremely depressed and kind of sleep deprived. It would happen in the middle of the day, there was no kind of set up. I remember being able to lay down and with just a few minutes I could feel it. An intense sinking feeling. I could actively let this sinking take over, and the deeper I got the more I could feel intense vibrations all around me.

When I was finally there I woke up in this competently empty black abyss. I wasn't immediately as scared as you might imagine, there was a sort of structure to the place, a ground of sorts and a sky. While I was there I meet 3 hooded entities that attacked me and I immediately woke up.

A few weeks went by and I decided to go back. I found myself in the same place but this time I was attacked by a strange symbol like figure of sorts. As soon as i laid my eyes on it i was struck by a strange force that felt like getting hit by a brick wall. Haven't tried that anymore, and I cant feel the sinking anymore. not that i would bother going back.

Help. I want to visit hell in my dreams. I also want to have nightmares. I want to feel panic fear dread terror.
I want to be so scared and upset, that when I wake up from the nightmare, it will still be a dream of nightmares without my realizing that I am still dreaming.
I want to feel all the pain in the world. I just want to feel. Please help.

>I want to visit hell in my dreams
did you not read my post (above)?

You'll just end up in a boring flat black abyss like plain and get attacked by sordid entities then wake up.

And I bet if I, or anyone else for that matter did this enough times you'll end up in a coma or have a heart attack and end up stuck there forever. There is nothing there worth seeing, no magic spells or shit like that and nobody there worth knowing, they're all malevolent. the place is just, I guess, hell.

That sounds wonderful. Please can you give more tips on how we can reach that dark place. I can feel it. I want it. Let them hurt me. I can take it. I want it.
>>
>>18793146

Benadryl and Ambien. Ambien would do it sometimes (unenjoyable trying to move when your body's heavy and asleep) but then it took me sleepdriving so I quit. Benadryl's for when you want to feel something - ANYTHING - other than useless living sans direction. Weird drowziness with paralysis when you fight it, but beware the imps. Never tried them together though! How badly do you hate living?
