To be honest that's not *that* bad. The writing style is OK, as there is a nice elegance to written works that use only short sentences. It also has a nice simplicity in the terseness of descriptions and unwillingness of the author to go off on pointless tangents.

The whole "found a camera covered in blood" is stupid and lacks subtlety, author should just had it been a regular camera that was covered in dirt or something. Or maybe do some foreshadowing by having the girl find it in an abandoned house that was ransacked.

Also, it doesn't make sense logically that a couple being chased by a monster would be also taking pictures or camera shots of it.

Lastly, it's not actually a story, it's a first act, and it ends just as it's getting started. Shitty plot points can be forgiven if the story is otherwise interesting, but that requires the story actually be finished for it, which this one isn't.

It definitely wasn't scary, but its got some potential.

I'm personally bothered that:

If it is a film camera they would need to get it developed, and if having a battery is meant to imply digital photos then the existence of film is superfluous

>2) that she waits till her friend gets to her house to look at the pictures
It's not really human nature to wait like that before trying to check the pix. Only 2 alternatives I can think of are she looks at the pictures when she was initially inspecting the camera, or else she invited her friend with her to get the pictures developed.
