What if aliens didn't contact us because they don't think that we are intelligent species?
The most likely explanation for why aliens haven't contacted us is because the universe is massive and any aliens that exist are nowhere near us and don't know we exist.

Thank you sir.

Theyd be right in their actions.

Maybe if we had something of value to bring to the table, we could make some sort of deal... if only someone knew how to make deals with aliens

That or their intentions aren't positive. They're either biding their time or moving the pieces into place for take-over/planet theft/wutever their intentions are.
Just a thought.

This will be us.
Any intelligent life capable of using advanced technology that's out in deep space had probably completely destroyed itself through war.
Most ET's obliterate their own species before they create technologies that allow them to branch out to different systems/galaxies

The probability for space-faring life in the universe is ridiculously minuscule, and even then, the distances in space are so massive that light-speed (if it's even possible spaceships to travel that fast without disintegrating) won't get you far at all.
If the universe is infinitely full of unguarded resources, why would aliens give a fuck about us anyway?

I actually put a lot of stock in the "why would they even come here when space is full of resources just anyone can take" argument.
You also should take into account that our information bubble (the furthest possible distance any earth-based communications could travel) only extends like 100ly in any direction. Anyone living outside that bubble would have no possible way of knowing we were even here.
