Hello /x/
I've been feeling very odd lately it's been more than a year I'm feeling uneasy, having bad dreams and feeling so low on energy and when I sleep I always wake up so tired like I've not slept for a long time, and the dreams are getting worse, the most reccurent ones are about apocalypse. What makes me come to /x/ it's because all of this started when I almost died drowning last summer trying to save my mother and cousin (they are ok), since then I've been detached from reality and distant from everyone that I lost all my friends and the willing to live (I have no reasons anymore I feel everything I do in this world is in vain and nothing matters)
I don't know what I'm talking about, I just felt /x/ would be the best place to understand what I'm going through and maybe have an explanation

Depression. I've been there.
Either go to a psychiatrist and get some of them pills or force yourself to build something in your life. Get a job, start a company, family... That kind of thing. Preferably both probably.

try this (for a month like a dare, tell yourself that you will and just follow through, it's how I did it)

>no eating meat (treat yourself with the ocasional shrimp pad thai or some fish if you need to)
>no coffee
>no alcohol
>no cigarettes
>no weed
>as much as you can should be raw (just grab some spinach throw that shit ina bowl with some rice, avocado, cherry tomatoes, onion and walnuts) eat fuckign apples when you want a snack during the day
>maybe towards the end drop some shrooms if continuous unaltered consciousness is driving you a bit insane
>start a notebook/journal where you can start jotting down thoughts and Ideas
>read some books that really interest you and have to do with the state of mind you want to chieve or the knowledge you want to attain
>obv no porn and gore or any degenerate shit

Do this for a month and see how it goes. Just think of it as a sort of cleanse month.

The same thing was happening to me, I was beginning to sink and then now I am whole, and more aware. The nothing matters everythingis in vain is a meme, the we're just monkeys on a spaceball is also a meme.

>DRINK A LOT OF GOOD TEA (liters a day when you can) (no supermarket gross teabag shit)
and go outside on walks, I live close to an amazing park. Go for a run whenever you're feeling it but instead of killing yourself running, take it chill, listen to an audiobook and lay on the grass for a bit.

finally meditation. Start thinking more clearly and put things into perspective. You will not only break the "fuck life" meme you will end up legit 100 times wiser than you were.

Just give it a go for a month, and if you cba or not enjoying it, go back to the "disconnected" state.

Also an event like what you've described is great for post traumatic growth. Don´t waste that shit on sulking.

if someone says that only a psychiatrist can help they don´t know what they are talking about.

A specialist can only help you look for some underlying causes. And if you feel the need to seek help please do so. But trust yourself before anyone else.
