It's gonna depend on her, and your specific plan for her indoctrination, dude.
If you want scary, go Noroi: The Curse.
If you want muh social commentary, go The Mist.
If you want haunted house, go 1408 (yeah it's not a hose, same basic idea).
If you want sci-fi pretentiousness, go Event Horizon.
If you want a monster movie, go Pumpkinhead.
If you want a slasher, go Child's Play or (the original) Halloween.
If you want 'trapped with a bunch of psychos who are toying with you', go House of 1000 Corpses.
If you want horror/comedy, nothing beats Gremlins and Evil Dead 2.
If you want insanity, Psycho. No beating the classics.
If you want surreal, Phantasm.
There's also The Descent, Blair Witch, Wes Craven's They, which are good for beginners. I mean these all are, but these are too, and also don't scratch a specific itch like the ones above do, imo.
The Orphanage
Blair Witch
The Descent
Eden Lake
Classic Romero.
Nobody does it better.
If you want campy go Australian, the british make good campy horror movies too.
Shaun of the dead, or the wheel.

VHS 2! Pretty fucked up movie. Best zombie sequence I've ever seen

Martyrs Pascal Laugier 2006 (original version)
Fucked my shit up
In the Mouth of Madness, best lovecraft themed horror I've seen, classic.
Other than that, the Phantasm series is incredible. It's a five film series though, so be prepared.
