/x/ what is (fully aware anything outside of source material is at best deceiving) the most "authentic" and "raw" English translation of the bible. just wanting material that was hopefully less infused by agenda or bias of an era.

K.J.V is as good as any other translation. What you're after I suspect is a parallel text with the Hebrew and Greek given and transcribed alongside the English. You can find these online. http://www.scripture4all.org/ or http://www.biblehub.org

>K.J.V is as good as any other translation
This is false

how do?
>>18731785
this is one and only true word of god

because it's superior to all the other translations

It's a book of 17th century slang that cuts out portions of the Catholic bible because they didn't fit with what was needed
There's probably no good English version. I'm sure any translation had shit altered or omitted... Even the dual Hebrew/English ones show every other word having several a meanings besides the main ones printed in stuff like KJV where the meaning of a passage changes significantly based on which English word/definition you picked.
You'd need to find the original scrolls or whatever and translate. Any bible sitting in a church today was probably edited far enough from the original to suit the church or a specific denomination

You should just avoid considering the Bible majority the word of God...
Especially the Old Testament...
