Hair growth is partly genetic and partly hormonal, but many modern styles emphasize that area by shaving off the hair around it so it'll really stand out.

I don't have that part, but I have a worse variant. My hair naturally would grow from what *should* be my hairline all the way down to my eyebrows. The "extra" grows slowly and isn't as thick as the rest, but it'd still eventually get very thick and prominent - and fill in that entire space - if I let it. So I have to shave it off approximately every other haircut.
