People all around my county in southern Indiana heard and felt a loud thud today with no explanation. No seismic activity was reported and nothing plausible is appearing in the news. Any ideas?

Be more descriptive.
1. Roughly how long did the sound last?
2. What other sounds are similar to it? E.G, thunder.
3. From your position, which direction?

It's past your bedtime lil fifth grader.
It's just the Indiana Thuds. Sometimes we can even hear them from here in Ohio.

It lasted only a moment, and was akin to the dropping of a heavy weight. Sounded more like a thud than thunder or an explosion. Asked friends all around the county who said they had heard it too.

Happened here in AZ too. Heard it on the radio this morning. No explanation given but apparently it scared the shit out of some people.
It is the nanomachines in our bodies all kicking in at once.
