When images appear to you in meditation, does that mean you fell asleep for a moment?

Never seen images but then again I don't even see shit on acid.

No it's normal
It means you're getting very deep
It's usually a good sign
From what I gather from wikipedia-tier buddhist knowledge, the true aim of meditation is to get past the hallucination phase, which is supposed to represent your karma.

But i totally lost touch with my breath at that moment. But the weird thing is that happened 6 hours before my bedtime and i had drank two coffee's at that point.

No, it means you are imagining things as usual.
It's a good sign. Your unconscious is leaking into the conscious just a little bit and your imagination is becoming stronger. Two pretty big goals for aspiring occultists/witches, if you're into that sort of thing.
One thing that I've noticed is that continued experience of those strange effects like visuals and forgetting your body/breath makes it easier to stop worrying about them. Then I go the other way and worry too much about NOT getting them and of course they don't show up. But nobody said this would be easy. Here's to your progress, OP.

Thanks for the positive feedback. The schools of meditation are divided on this point, some calling it a hindrance, other a progress. I also wanted to hear /x/'s perspective.

Yeah, that's also a good thing
The whole "focus on your breathing" thing is essentially a mnemonic to help you get stabilized and stay clearheaded. Losing track of your physical self means you're getting deeper into your subconscious.

i think yes, it's micro sleeping. you can extract some valuabe info from the subconscious if it has any symbolism in it
