Can't seem to find any translated literature on rituals of santeria. I've learned a bit about the different forms of divination, but when it comes to say manifesting ones will through ritual and meditation, I can't find anything.
As well, there's nothing on finding ones Orishas. Is this just too verbal a tradition to find valuable literature on these things?
The issue is that in the U.S. or...anywhere outside of where it is regularly practiced (Parts of Mexico, South America and the Carabean) it gets mixed in with Voodoo/Hoodoo and Santa Muerte stuff.
The best thing to do is find a person who already knows it and to learn from them.

I'm aware that many Santeros are also involved in palo mayombe and similar practices, but wouldn't they be dedicated to non Yoruba spirits?

As you say, even in those places you get scammers and people that simple don't know what they are doing.
Gladly some schools are extremely orthodox and some of the rituals still are being practised.
there's no real santeria tradition, its just people mixing voodoo/hoodoo etc with catholicism, anyone that tells you different is full of shit.

Vodun comes from the Ewe people. Santeria originated from the Yoruba people. Both come from West Africa, but they worship different deities.

Check out the Scarlet Imprint, they have you covered. Not that pricey, too.
