It was made to take them. I only paid 85 bucks for it too. These things were dirt cheap in the mid to late 90s. It was the first rifle I bought when I turned 18.

I had another one with a shorter barrel (about an inch or so), which was labeled in the gun store as a Paratrooper's SKS. It also took AK mags, and came with a bayonet. I traded it for a 7mm lever action, which I love, but I kind of wish I'd held onto the SKS.

I am a machinist though, so I could at least in practice do professional quality gun smithing. It's something I'd actually like to get into, but most of the firearms I own aren't any that I want to practice on, and I'm not about to do unlicensed work for others. Most of the ones I own currently were my grandfather's hunting rifles and shotgun, so obviously I don't want to fuck with those.

Even if you believe the broadcast was faked, then you have to consider that they fucking launched a rocket upwards into the sky and they might've as well directed it at the moon, given how huge the initial costs of building one were. Plus an incredbile amount of direct witnesses are alive still today.

Anon, I live in a city of 200k and barely know the people in the opposite flat. Meanwhile, family in the rural parts of the country (I'm outside of the US, but still in what is considered "the West"), in towns that have less than 20k inhabitants, are on first name terms with the majority of people they pass on their way to church or supermarket.
