I work nightshift in an old hotel, alone. Why do I keep feeling like I'm being watched whilst walking around?
>>
Most likely ghostes
>>
>>18626358
Because of all the security cameras tracking you.
>>
>>18626358
Because the architecture of the surroundings combined with the time at which you're alone in them creates a sense of unease.
>>
>>18626358
That's most jobs anon. They want you to feel monitored so you don't slack off probably.
>>
>>18626376
>>18626367

Well I do security too, so I operate and monitor the cameras. There's like 6 in the whole building. I definitely think something is not right there.
>>
>>18626383
I used to get this feeling working nightshift at a motel. Sounds like a similar situation:
>lone employee
>regular security checks
>not enough cameras
Always had that feeling (would come to work armed unbeknownst to my coworkers). But the only scary thing that ever presented itself was the occasional black and/or crackhead.
>>
Because of the amount of doorways, corners and openings. It gives the impression that something could constantly appear.
On a more /x/ related note, hotels have many different people go through them all the time. Lots of different energies.. past events.. things could even linger there if anyone died.
>>
>>18626401

I had a suspected break in last week

>walk into kitchen at 3am
>it's in total darkness apart from a few led lights
>hear a loud bang of a door slamming
>heart starts pumping hard and I go to check it out
>a door that I had locked earlier was flapping in the wind, can only be opened from the inside

The thing that really creeped me out was he must have heard me coming and crept behind me when I was in the kitchen in order to get out.
>>
>>18626409

There been 3 deaths that I know of since I started a year ago, I've even sat on the bed where a young girl died suddenly of heart failure.
>>
>>18626409
plus hotels have a disproportionately large amount of bad things and deaths happen at them, they're where people go to do the things they shouldn't be doing.

I'm betting house keeping has some disturbing discoveries. Where I worked they were cliquish and hush hush, probably in fear of losing their jobs or deportation or whatever. I remember one room they got into trouble for because the missed cleaning up blood spatter on the wall and ceiling. It wasn't a lot, but a guest noticed. No telling how long it was there - no paramedics brought into that room in the two years I worked there.

We had a regular in one of the honeymoon suites that housekeeping disliked. Seemed like a nice, normal fellow at the front desk. But housekeeping would often whisper that his wife was a bike, and that he would often leave marks with it. I dismissed it, like I did a lot of their chatter. One night he called me to his room for something and I witnessed he had a bmx bike in the bathtub with the jets going.

>Where I worked they were cliquish and hush hush
probably stealing mate
>>
>>18626461
>literally a bike

did not see that coming
>>
>>18628189
I thought it was like a village bike too.

Also I respect cleaning people, I've done the work myself before, but half of them are retarded (and that's why they're cleaners). I used to work at a bio research facility at night that was built on an old medieval execution ground in the middle of a scary wood and never saw or experienced anything there. The cleaners it turned out got spooked by some of anatomical model things lying around, didn't even realise the other shit.
>>
>>18626461
Wait, what?
He thought he was married to a literal bike?
What the fucking fuck

Back in college when I was a delivery driver I fucking HATED going to hotels. To this day I hate even staying in hotels.

Narrow hallways...strange people...eerie quiet...
>>
>>18626358
I was a security guard at an old hotel that was on its last legs. The vibe there was unsettling. I felt like I was being watched or that feeling you get when someone is looking at you.

Almost to the day after being there a month. I saw a the top half of a person pop up and go back down at the counter across from me.

Go to check it out, no one there. After that I'd see shadows walking around, hear footsteps, doors slamming, noises. I had to quit due my apartment experiencing the same effect there too.
>>
Hotels just don't scare me. They're filled with nice civilians.

3 deaths in a year? Damn, isn't that a lot statistically speaking? Seriously asking here, as I don't know how many people typically die within any given hotel in a year.
>>
>summer '14 worked in holiday inn
>i was the morning cook
>came in at 430 am
>walked from the dining area to the kitchen
>saw somebody washing dishes
>didnt think anything of it
>go to fridge to get juice fro breakfast
>remember dishwasher doesn't get in till 9am
>mfw there wasnt a dishwasher
>>
>>18626401
Where do you live? How do you go go work armed?
>>
>>18626461
I don't blame him. I'm not a rider but some bmx bikes look pretty sexy.
>>
>>18629179
I'm interested. Care to share your experiences at your apartment?
>>
>>18626358
Ignore it, that's just your primal instincts. Ghosts do not exist.
>>
>>18626358
I'm about to start a new job as a night porter at a 4* hotel... maybe we can compare stories at some point
>>
>>18629246
i worked at a 120 room hotel in the UK for 2 years, in that time we had 4 RTGs (room temperature guests), 2 old dudes died of heart attacks in their sleep, one lady OD'd on painkillers/sleeping tablets and one guy we found naked with a belt around his neck, porn on the TV.
>>
>>18626461
>wife was a bike
I stopped here and spent a good minute trying to figure out what the implications of calling someone a bike were. Then I read the rest and realized it was literal.
>>
Play the Ouija board app or download a spirit box app and talk to them
>>
>>18629370
Interesting
>>
>>18629554
The normal implications are related to the phrase "X's wife/gf is the town bike - everyone gets a free ride".
>>
>>18629370
>one lady OD'd on painkillers/sleeping tablets and one guy we found naked with a belt around his neck, porn on the TV.
Classy af.
>>
>>18626358
Natural instincts make you super aware and therefore uneasy in vulnerable places by yourself.
>>
>>18626358
your boss is watching the security footage to make sure you're doing your job
