Something creepy happened to me in the forest yesterday. I'd like to share.

>hours of vidya later
>my mom goes full Alex Jones mode and drops truth bomb on my friend's parents

>it is a small rotten hut in a nearby forest
>we arrive there
>enter hut and look for stuff left behind by other hikers
>only shards 'n' shit
>suddenly we hear a loud deep bang
>sounds like a single cannon fire, but as if fired from the underground and with very deep frequencies
>suddenly everything is quiet
>we slowly head into the direction from which we thought the noise has come
>anons in front of me
>they freeze
>"What is it?"
>they say nothing and run back the way we came as fast as sonic.exe
>all I see is some kind of rare fungi like pic related, but then there is only blood on the forest floor

Wtf guys? This wasn't a hunter. My dad is a ranger and I was with him a lot. Also, the sound was definitely not from a rifle.
Anyone has experienced something similar? Any plausible explanations? I was scared shitless that night. Could not speak with my parents.

It could no doubt, however most are inert after so long in the ground that the odds of a boar digging up one of the handful of lives ones would be very rare.
Not impossible, just rare. It's certainly a possibility worth considering.
