I've been listening to Jones for a number of years and he is a good resource; although at times can get repetitive. You can learn more about the inter-dimensional beings he talks about in the book "Liber Null." However I'd advise against pursuing contact with them yourself. Since you're admittedly new to this subject matter I would also recommend to you the book "Words to the Wise" by Manly Hall. As far as energy/psychic vampirism goes... I think Michael Tsarion has some podcasts on it that might be of some value to you. Good luck in your studies.
