Aphantasia is the condition where one does not have an imagination while conscious.
If you are unsure if you have it try these tasks
>visualize the faces of your parents
>visualize what your house looks like from your driveway
>visualize a rainbow
Are you able to see an image of these? If you can't or the image was just a quick flash you might have aphantasia. For me the feeling of these is the same as how you remember what your room looks like so you can navigate in the dark.

While I can't visualize while awake, I can dream just fine. I should be more consistent with keeping a dream journal.
After I just wake up before I move I can sometimes imagine things. It's usually pretty faint though.

In fairly certain I'm conscious right now.
So after the last thread about this, I found something you might want to take a look at. Apparently, aphantasia is more common than people are willing to admit and there's a super effective way around it when it comes to "visualisation".
