Okay, anons. Clearly you're all are little babies who need to be told a few things before opening up a Ouija board. First of all, do not underestimate the board - just because you don't believe in it doesn't mean that opening up that kind of channel won't result in severe consequences. Sometimes, you have pleasant experiences. Oftentimes, you don't.

If you manage to contact an entity, LEARN ITS NAME! That's the FIRST think you absolutely have to do. Learning a being's name gives you the power of dominion.

(Beware of an entity called Zozo. It appears pretty often to young adults/teens BECUASE they're a vulnerable group. It's widely believed that this is a fake name many demons/evil spirits give out. If you run into Zozo, press it for its TRUE name.)

Make sure you properly end the ritual, and if you do bring a malevolent entity into you life it's not enough to just burn the board. Most people think if you burn the board you sever the connection. Wrong. You absolutely have to burn the planchette. Remember this! The planchette is what the spirit speaks though, it's the true portal, the true item that opens and closes the connection between our worlds. Burning the board is also a good move, but if you don't burn the planchette you're basically fucked.

Remember, a Ouija board is not a toy. Try to buy one made with white magic or just make your own. Commercial boards are made of corporate greed and are more likely to hold onto negative energies. A while back my friends and I were conducting an experiment on one of the boards. We had done all kinds of research on them to determine if it was actually safe. When I say research we had actual numbers to represent the pro's and con's of the project. When it came time the numbers were actually higher for them being safe as opposed to lower and agreed we'd give it a shot. There are four of us. For about two hours nothing weird happened but then the planchet began to move to letters. At first it's like everyone had the same thought; someone is bored and is moving it. So, we asked another question, " Who is here with us? " The answer was M,A,Z.

Maz wouldn't answer questions about himself but would give us very basic answers to random things like, what did I eat for breakfast or where did I go this afternoon. We got correct responses and as a result became more interested in this little event. My friend then asked 'is hell real' and the board said yes. He was very much an atheist and skeptic until that point and wanted to stop. The board then spelled out bye and we got no other message after that. We were freaked out but made some jokes and lightened up. Whenever my buddy, his name is Mark by the way got home he called me and wanted me to come over. He told me he was seeing stuff in his room.

I'll spare you the rest of the story but basically Maz stalked him and tortured him - according to Mark anyway for several weeks until he moved out of state so no, I don't think they are safe. We didn't provoke this thing or bother it and it left when it wanted to leave. It just attacked him.

It wasn't drawn out at all like you see in movies where there are stages to a haunting. It began to fuck with him as soon as he got home. I'll admit I felt a little weird in his house and I ended up staying over that night. The entire night we could hear shit in every single room other than the rooms we were in. We found his car keys outside the front door on the mat. We found his fridge unplugged the next morning. We smelled something like burning grease in his laundry room and could hear something very loud on his roof. He told me in his room he felt his covers being jerked about also. I tried playing several times. Couple times with friends. Nothing happened. A couple times with my brother. Nothing happened. A couple times on my own. Nothing happened.

I've done it multiple times with different people, including once at a cemetary reported to be one of the most haunted places in my state, at 3 a.m. nonetheless.

Still, nothing definite seemed to happen, save for another occasion, when the planchette spelled out three letters which happened to be also found on a nearby gravestone, in a different cemetery for nuns. That isn't enough to convince me though

I think, though the board may not be an actual conduit to the spirit world, it may just attract the attention of spirits nearby, maybe sensing the fear or gullibility of those using it.

I've always had a great time with Ouija, the few times I played with small groups were always entertaining. Giving the board some respect is important or otherwise you won't have a great time.

I will say it's important not to say anything along the lines of "Let your presence be known". Any sort of invitation to interact with the physical world.

A friend of mine's mother had a story about her using a board with friends as a kid and asking for the spirit to make itself known. A moment passes and a bird breaks through a window into the room, flies into the far corner of the room, breaks its neck, and dies on the carpet.

in and group of about six or seven maybe four of us had "guardian" or anchored spirits. mine was apparently not human but described itself as essentially extradimensional.

Sort of, I didn't use it as intended though.
I set it up as the centerpiece on an altar, with the goal of opening a gate for spirits to enter.

The first night after setting it up I had some Baron Samedi looking motherfucker in my room. I also heard screams coming from the altar occasionally, nightmares constantly, and my life turned to shit, eventually forcing me to move across the country because of a psychotic crackhead.
