The Unwanted Houseguest stuff is like scooby-doo music. It's catchy and fun but not really scary. Spooky is a good word. Cool video, though. Great Goosebumps episode.

Eyes Wide Shut is a great movie. Even more relevant with all this talk of spirit cooking among the elites these days. Great song. That scene is always hypnotizing.

Still remember hearing Gloomy Sunday for the first time. That was one of my earliest scary youtube finds. When I was younger I was actually scared to listen to the whole thing.

Never really listened to Young Fathers but that video is pretty fantastic and the music is interesting.

Seconding this as a recommendation, but just wanna give a little background for it. Basically the (potentially apocryphal since they haven't done a ton of interviews) story about this album is basically that Nick Blinko, the band's lead singer had a series of paranoid schizophrenic incidents after the band dropped their first record, Death Church and basically immediately afterwards their bassist was diagnosed with cancer (he survived, it turned out to be operable). During that time one of the only books that caught his interest available to patients was a lovecraft anthology, and the result is a record that describing as lovecraft worship is almost an understatement. I've read biographies of H.P. that have understood how the guy worked less than this, plus it's chock full of deep cut references
