I bought a small chest today and it had this design on the lid. Does anybody know if it means anything?
It looks familiar but i dont know what its from. I think it's something spiritual. Let another anon give a final answer though
I've seen that somewhere, i'll look around and try to come back with an answer.
OP here, the box looks exactly like this except the wood is much darker as seen in the OP pic
Someones selling it because they had a house fire and need money. To be clear, my box is a different wood, but it's clearly chinese in some way.

OP here: Interior design inside the drawers features traditional gold dragons, it's definitely Chinese.
Here's a pic of the full box if it matters in any way

Thanks
Question 2, and I know this isn't suitable for /x/, but is this thing possibly worth something? I got it for $5 and it's real wood, probably made in the 1950s. I can't find any replicas online, just stuff like I saw in >>18432945
Which was worth 500 yuans (~$90 USD)
google "VINTAGE-CHINESE-ROSEWOOD-BRASS-JEWELRY-BOX"
first ebay hit is the box for $225 bucks
