The hole on the bottom leads me to believe it's part of a primitive bowdrill fire set, people often used concaved stones like that for pressure on the top while they spun to improve friction on the wood.

Sorry I didn't mean to negate your explanation of what it may be. I just find it super unlikely because the land I found it on has been family land for a long time and is ridiculously secluded. It would take a ridiculous amount of effort for somebody to just stumble out there let alone some edgy teens with whiteout/paint
