Perhaps you should try to strike a balance between that and something else that will bring you closer to your goals. I'm going to be real here. I decided to quit my old career and take this one on so I could make myself more marriageable. I'm charming and attractive enough to get by, but accounting only makes you so much money, you know? My options were a bit limited from the beginning...let's just say I knew what hunger feels like at 10 years of age.

Still, I really do love my line of work. It's emotionally difficult, and the hours are insane, but it's the perfect fit for me. But you're certainly right in pointing out my motivations. I do have to balance myself a bit better, though, you're right.
