Dr. Kent Hovind has an interesting theory on it. First off without getting into nephilim and angels having sex with humans and all that stuff he points out the life span of early humans in the bible is anywhere from 200-700 years long.

So take Adam for example, this is a human male that has enough genetic diversity in him to populate the entire planet. He's super smart and names every animal on the planet, lives for hundreds of years and teaches countless numbers of his children what he knows. And during this time he's literally living in the garden of Eden, which are perfect conditions so whose is to say he wasn't 7-8 feet tall, perfectly proportioned but with a giant skull to hold all this knowledge.
