What's hurting him?

Not op but I also experience this, I ruled out floater due to it being mostly stationary/always around the same spot.

Went to doc and they said I was fine, recommended neurological tests but I haven't got around to it.

Close one eye, and see if it's still there. If it is, close the other and see if it's still there. If it remains off to the same side both times, then it may be a migrainous aura.

Auras can indicate other neurological issues though so you should probably see a doctor.
