It's not a no-fly zone, there's just nothing directly across it. South Africa, Argentina and Australia flight paths form a triangle that barely encompasses Antarctica, but don't go over it. Not because it's a no fly zone, simply because why waste extra fuel (and money) to see a frozen desert.
Qantas does offer sight seeing tours over Antarctica tho.

Some places in the artic (idk about Antarctica) can reach above zero in the spring and summer time. In Labrador it can get to 30 degrees Celsius in some places.
