Do you guys think it's possible that there is a being floating around in space, it being far larger than a galaxy? Considering how massive the universe is, how is it not possible that something truly colossal like that exists?

>how is it not possible that something truly colossal like that exists?
Basic laws of physics and thermodynamics mostly.
Yes, it could pass right through us too, it's "cells" are so far apart the chances of one hitting our star are almost infinitely small...hmm..yeah...
>>18305306
Yes, is called ur mom's ass
>>18305337
>>18305337
Fucking beat me to it.
Anything that big we wouldn't be able to comprehend because if we were anything more than submicroscopic it would tear us apart with gravity.
this would be a good doctor who episode
>>18305361
>doctor who
>good
pick one
>>18305363
depends on your definition of good.
>You can have the old shit, which looks fucking awful but is well written.
>You can have the new shit, which looks decent but is actually just SJW pandering hidden behind some okay quips.
>>18305306
Galaxies themselves may be those very beings.
>>18305508
would the super-massive blackhole at the center be your mom's ass?
>>18305519
Holy fuck absolutely BTFO
>>18305314
This.
>>18305337
Savage.
Galactus is real. I have seen him
Probably not, God isn't that cruel, besides, wouldn't we have seen something like that by now? Especially if it were as big as a galaxy and moved around? Sure, the universe is huge, but c'mon.
>colossal
imagine galaxy clusters being single electrons orbiting the nuclei of the atoms that compose a god's brain.
>>18305525
>thinking that's clever
>>18305668
>implying I didn't projectile shoot boogers all over my keyboard when I read it from laughing
It was funny and he got BTFO deal with it palaroo.
Actually there was some work made about these "giant beings". They would mainly be entropic and thermodynamic systems.
Statistical studies have shown that intelligent systems self conscious systems have a way stronger probability to be created by such entropic systems than by life.
It's called " boltzmann's brains" (cerveaux de boltzmann en francais) you should look it up.
Their thoughts would expand over lengths of time going far beyond our own perception of time.
Maybe we're just a cancer on such a system. (Cause we are creating disruptions in the thermodynamics processes.)
>>18305519
haha nice one :)
>>18305767
I was about to say something similar. The bigger the being, the longer it takes for "neuro impulses" to travel.

New measurements have shown it's been growing since it was found

Actually I was going to say that needed time for neural-equivalent activity, based on anything we know, would be so painfully slow as to not be able to do anything worthwhile. But since I can't remember what boltzmann brains were, yet it rings a bell, I'm going to look it up.
Also, what would account for their cohesiveness? I don't think there's any force that can coordinate matter as far apart as required for such entities to "work"

I don't think you truly realize how big it is and how small we are.
