Left is a 'sword' rune. I don't know why I identify it as the 'sword' rune, but whenever I see the word 'sword' or think about 'swords', this image comes up and I don't know why it's so familiar.

The one on the right is something I dreamed up. In the dream, I was having trouble concentrating over something and so I was given a helmet that had a hole in the shape of the symbol on the right... somehow.

In the dream, I was told that it was a type of helmet that St. Peter invented in order to strengthen prayer.

I'm atheist, but I have a very religious family.

I'm curious as to how my brain thought up these symbols because I haven't seen them anywhere else

I have no idea what this is, but one day acouple of years ago I was cleaning my grandmother's drawers of knic knacks she collected. we were moving her out of the house and she wasnt there and so she told me to keep it and gave me a bag full of runes. she sidint say what it for. however if it helps you, im of viking descent and my grandmother is as well and both of us are very proud of our heritage...is this something to do with viking culture at all? Every single blasted day I see the numbers 333. It could be in any way shape or form for these sequential numbers to form before me. On days I did not see the numbers I would instead hear them from TV outlooks or normal conversation. This has been happening to me for the past 4 years. Found this in an abandoned building in western Washington a couple days ago. Looks like some sort of ritual circle to me. Pools of brown candle wax at the vertices of the pentagram. The glyphs outside the circle are square with the foundation of the building, but a bit off from the cardinal directions. Any idea what it might have been for?

Nope, it just kind of comes up at weird times. On Friday at work I suddenly decided I needed to find a lantern background image for my computer, then spent a good hour finding images I liked. A few days before that I was driving by a store that sells hoity toity interior decorating things and I thought maybe I should find some lanterns for my apartment. I played a game called runescape for many years, almost always by myself.
There was one skill you could manage and train, which I almost always saw people practicing, which involved clicking on a single frame, which produced a fire if you had a tinderbox and wood.
Besides lighting lanterns, firemaking had no unique purpose whatsoever. Food cooked on open flames were no different than if cooked on stoves, and the lanterns were used in less than 5 of the nearly 200 dungeons

Every flame showed the same texture, and they produced no light and no effect, they produced ash which served no purpose either, and provided experience towards a skill which allowed you to do nothing more than light lanterns

It is poorly drawn so it is hard to tell if it is exactly that but it looks VERY similar

well basically that's a sigil. a common method popular with the golden dawn was to take a rose wheel, a specific circular image that has the hebrew alphabet in it, and you create the sigil by starting with the first letter of the archangel name (for instance) and going letter by letter to get a shape.

the circle is the first letter, and the "T" at the end is the last letter. I'm not sure why this one has a horizontal line across the top, it doesn't really fit.

I discovered this symbol while painting the inside of a doorway in Virginia. The house was built in the 1730s as a home for millworkers ( located nearby but now destroyed)

The top of it is clearly the crescent and star commonly seen as the symbol for islam, though it was originally used for the Carthaginian goddess Tanit who was associated with child sacrifice.
She is a goddess of the night, so if she were for some reason pissed at you having no sleep would be a pretty simple thing to inflict.
No idea what the rest of it means, but the thing in the box looks like an exclamation mark which is a more recent symbol, but it essentially means caution or stop what you're doing.

This is the labyrinth on the paving of the Cathédrale de Chartres, France. It is located in the nave at the point that the rose from the portal would be if it was projected on the ground. Eleven concentric circles and only one way (not a labyrinth per se). It is fascinating to me because it doesn't inherently strike me as a Christian symbol. French cathedrals are famous in esoteric circles for being blatantly filled with symbols of alchemy.
Pilgrims used to walk the labyrinth on their knees as a path to redemption. I've also seen pictures where they place a candle in each notch from the outer stroke. Some speculate that the labyrinth stands for the innards of the Virgin Mary, as the cathedral is dedicated to her, has the shape of a Latin cross (human figure) and echoes to the idea that Jesus Christ is "the fruit of her womb" (fructus ventris" in Latin).
Most labyrinths in French cathedrals were destroyed after the revolution due to their lack of Christian imagery, but this one famously remains.
