I dont know if I should post it here or /tv/ but I think it would be cool if we had something like a lost media general, anything that has been lost, mysterious stuff people have been searching for (be bigfoot or a unfinished movie) and stuff like that

not too paranormal but I always find mysterious things to be creepy no matter what they are
>>
>>18289230
was this thing real or no?
>>
>>18289290
It was real alright. I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with it. I could give you a brief synopsis.
>>
>>18289290
its real, nobody has found it yet, apparently the filmmakers took it off shelves to make a remake, there's an actual building for one of the companies that helped with the film but its blocked off and people are too scared to go and get real answers
>>
>>18289230
What is that?
>>
>>18289301
It was planned but never made. The op pic and amazon listings were to build hype for it or something like that. But all that was actually produced was a script iirc
>>
>>18289340
It's a mockumentary that was apparently only sold for a couple of days a year or two ago. There are pictures of orders from stores and actual proof it exists but no one has seen it, even stranger is the quotes on the box and the websites don't actually exist. Apparently someone was able to call somebody working on the movie and they said something along the lines of it being pulled off shelves because they wanted to make a remake of it, but still, no one has seen the original.

I'm probably butchering the story tho, the youtuber RebelTaxi has a good video on it.
>>
Two things I want to know about
1. Frog Fractions 2 (does anyone remember that?)
2. That one banned episode of Sesame Street
>>
Theres that clockman thing. Also the chubbuck suicide tape does exist but some law firm has it or something.
>>
>>18289413
Was Frog Fractions 2 one of those early 2000s games for elementary schoolers to play in the new computer lab?

I remember Outnumbered especially, and a couple that were called like "Mazie's Math Games" or something
>>
>>18289430
cool math games
>>
>>18289430
Frog fractions was yes, the creators put out this weird as hell Kickstarter video

https://youtu.be/P48lSsS6h2M

A small group of people tried to figure it out and there are codes that lead down an absurdly huge rabbit hole, but it was abandoned, we (4chan) should try to find it at some point

I'm looking for an ad for this horror movie I saw on a DVD a while back.

The name was some shitty pun involving static or signals or air or something.

One scene in the trailer was a guy on a bicycle cruising down a hill about to hit a van that was backing out. But instead of hitting it, the area he would have hit turns to red static and he passes through unharmed.
>>
>>18289508
What horror movie?
>>
>>18289514
>▶
Shoulda been clearer. The ad itself was for a horror movie I think, or at least a thriller or suspense film with dark themes.

The name of the movie that it was shown before was either Once Upon a Time in Mexico or Wanted.
>>
>>18289523
Oh ok sorry I thought you meant you saw an ad that was before a horror movie, so can you describe the cover of the DVD? We may be able to find what copy it is and then find the ad
>>
>>18289549
nah my buddy got it out of one those big dvd holder book things

it's honestly probably not likely to get found but i appreciate the help

Frog Fractions 2 apparently exists, but no one except the devs know what it is.

>Was Frog Fractions 2 one of those early 2000s games for elementary schoolers to play in the new computer lab?
No. Frog Fractions is a flash game. Frog Fractions 2 is a spiritual sequel that supposedly exists under a different title. The thing is, no one knows what the title is.
>>
>>18289523
I own wanted on DVD so I'll put it in and watch the ads, see if it's there.

Will report back soon.

>Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
Obviously not it.

>The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
It's meh. Not it though.

>Frost/Nixon

It's not even a good fake, you idiots.
>>
>>18294733
If it exists, it's a workaround to be as generic as possible to avoid legally defined likenesses. If it's fake, it's an attempt to do the generic knockoff look.

But either way it's the kind of lost media I like. Just a boring subject that's supposedly pulled for realistic reasons. No spoopy static, no gratuitous kid-unfriendly gore or screaming, no going insane that instantly ruins most of the things in this genre
>>
I liked the Sinbad Genie movie from the 90's that never existed.
>>
>>18289230
I once owned a 2 hour bootlegged version of Nosferatu (1922). People think I'm cray cray but I actually had it on VHS and it wasn't looped or slowed down at all. I've watched a lot of porn with loops in it so my brain can spot that shit a mile away. I wish I still had it. I threw it away thinking this version will appear on DVD on day but it never did. Perhaps it was a combination of both the director's original version and the Vienna cut with an alternate ending. I don't really recall how it ended. Saw it a long ass time ago.

I vividly remember playing this game at my friend's house when we were about 8 to 10 years old. But, it was never released.

I've heard of other people saying they definitely played this game too. Why was an unreleased game played by so many people?

Maybe was a hackrom.
I rented a Pokemon hackrom cartridge when kid
>>
>>18296994

I don't remember completely, but I was under the impression that he owned it. Where would he have acquired it?

And, where did you rent a Pokemon hackrom? And why did it happen?
>>
>>18296914
I JUST watched Nosferatu with my family and my dad was reading about it online and said that it was two hours, but the movie ended a little after one hour.
>>
>>18297022
Here in my country we had little stores where you could rent a game for weekend by modest price (like blockbuster but cheaper).

I was like 11 and didn't have game boy. One Friday I saw this rare Pokemon snes cartridge and decided to give it a shot since maybe it would be as cool as crystal. Short story: game was the most horrendous piece of shit ever, a poor plataformer in which you were pikachu jumping above enemies in a forest background. Just this year I discovered it was a hack because there is a YouTube video of it.

Are you talking about that one with the cracks in the wall? If so, that one can be found on youtube.

Didn't JonTron cover that? It was some bootleg hack of another game.

In a couple weeks the BBC is releasing some lost Doctor Who eps from 1966, which they animated using cassette recordings some autist made off his TV back then. Hopefully it's a success so they'll make more, and use the technique on other stuff like Dad's Army and Captain Scarlet

not so spooky but that sinbad thing made me remember a movie I rented w my mom from a video store when I was a kid. It was some animated movie with Sinbad in the title (or something-bad), my mom had to turn it off after a few minutes because the sinbad character started hving sex. i think it was a cooking scene, also he might have been a devil

The Lost Spider Pit Sequence is probably known by all of you but it's still fascinating.

>King Kong is shown to test audiences
>People scream and faint during a scene where most of the boat crew are killed by monsters (including a giant spider) in a pit, after Kong throws them off the log
>Director physically cuts the scene from the film because of "pacing issues"
>Said to have been the absolute best work Willis O'Brien (one of the first and best stop-motion animators) ever did
>The models from the scene are featured in a bunch of other movies as random background props
>Photos of the scene mysteriously surface decades later in a film magazine
>An original 1933 version of King Kong (the film was censored for rerelease in 1938) was uncovered around the same time
>Film buffs feel that the Spider Pit Sequence MUST also be out there somewhere, but others feel that the director likely destroyed the footage after removing it

The scene is still missing but at least one other still image has been discovered... It's just gotta be out there...

Has anyone ever seen the episode of Mr. Rodgers where Prince Wednesday prepares for a nuclear war? Its called "Mr. Rodgers talks about Conflict" or something. I've looked for it online, but I can't find it anywhere.

Clockman
>>
>>18296914

You sure about that? There was a company called Video Yesteryear that used to release silent movies at a more "natural" camera speed, which resulted in much longer versions of The Golem and Buster Keaton's The General with no actual additional footage.
