I never went through with the testosterone. I'm a grad student and I didn't know what I wanted to do for the longest time. I took a year off and traveled the world with my boyfriend and came back and switched from engineering to physics. I realized I loved physics and I stayed in that degree field. I was a junior when I figured that out. So just be patient. It'll come to you. Do general studies for now or something.

I'm glad I got this answer. This is exactly how I feel, my only family gave me an ultimatum in order to have a safe place to stay (as if I had any other choice) and now I'm stuck and I'm really unhappy and in debt because I realized that environment was toxic as hell and had no money (due to them making me go to school instead of working) and I'm stuck in trashy dorms with awful people. If it's possible I could trade for a follow up because I am stuck between two places, Vermont and North Dakota (or neither who knows) my family lives in ND, making school and housing a lot less stressful. Yet the husband/friend you speak of might have something do with VT because I have a past love interest there although, we're not really close at the moment.
