I think another way to look at the image might mean you need to learn to appreciate what you have and take the good not the bad.

You see, recently i had a similar "wake up" call, I got somewhat depressed for it until I realised there is no point to feel sorry.

You see i have always had this content mentality, i still do. There is no reason into putting self imposed requirements to happines. ["You don't have a gf? Who cares! enjoy that sweet ice cream with your favorite movie"]. You get the picture?

Yet i realised how wrong i was, you see while it's true that we don't need to put a value to our happines, it doesn't mean we can not grow up while being happy. You shouldn't be sad because "tfw no gf " but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.

I compare depression with an unicorn, there is this hidden beauty in it you see, something so pretty that everything else next to it looks grim in comparative. Yet what is an unicorn? A fantasy, something that its not real. Don't let yourself fall for something unreal, use it as fuel to grow.

I see a moonlit river running through a forest at night. A large scorpion walks alongside the bank of the river. I keep focusing on the scorpion, who keeps walking as the sun comes up. Does that make sense? There is a feeling of this creature crawling through your unconscious. There are certain environmental maladies that seem to destroy everything except your rivals and foes, which seems frustrating. Because this continues to be an issue plaguing your mind, attempts at dramatically changing your situation seem to backfire because of overkill and misfires. Remember that a cat is better for killing a rat than a tank.
