Im thinking of becomjng a neo pagan. Whats a good way to start this and to investigate said gods? Im also open to the roman pantheon.
>Im also open to the roman pantheon
>also open
>also
because "neo pagan" doesnt originally encompass the roman pantheon?

I thought it meant strictly the welsh britannia pagan gods.

The gods are basically a road map to the human psyche. Read everything you can and get familiar with them. But yes, imho, including the Greco-Roman gods is essential.
Then, a little gentle exploration. Not necessarily full-on invocation; just sit with the idea of one particular god (and/or its counterparts from other systems) and see what it feels like. What quality does it have, what is the first impression you get. Then, be more specific about how it feels at each level of experience, physical, emotional, psychological.
Let go of the experience at the end of each session. It can help to have a short sentence you use to introduce yourself to the god, ask for its presence, etc, and also to close with, say thank you, acknowledge that all connections have been released. Whatever works for you. Take it easy, go lightly, trust your impressions, and write down what you feel.
If you're cool with the Greco-Roman pantheon, look into Neoplatonism. It is the pentultimate pagan philosophy. Algis Uzdavinys has a number of spectacular books on the subject. Heavy reading, however, he takes things all the way back to Egypt and Babylon. Remember that myth is the exegesis of metaphysics.
For some more grounded exercises, I found Patrick Dunn's The Practical Art of Divine Magic to be quite helpful as a beginner.

I think pagan and heathen refer to anything not of Abrahamic origin. I could be wrong.

I agree with the caveat that paganism refers to any *polytheistic religion outside Abrahamism and would even consider Hinduism to be pagan but some people get triggered when I say that.

for gods sake, just have your collective beliefs and call it a day. Why do you need to label yourself a neo-pagan? worship whatever gods/things you BELIEVE IN, not just the ones you think are cool. what the fuck is the point of becoming a neo-pagan, or a regular pagan, or a christian for that matter. If you believe it, then you dont need any info or bullshit to guide you .you let your faith do it. You can't "become" anything without bullshiting yourself. your "religion" comes naturally, or youre just buying into garbage somebody else came up with.
mythology is cool to study and learn about don't get me wrong, theres plenty of good stuff to pull from all systems of belief. but what good does any of it do you if you don't truly believe it in your core?
does anyone else in this thread think being a 'neo'-anything is kinda faggy?
Follow the gods of your ancestors before Christianity, islam, jews, ruined the world

Yep, everyone does.
Neo pagans are especially faggy because if their harvest fails they just go to Walmart and buy Doritos.

Because i dont have a god and dont know what to believe in famalam

You don't need one. You can devote yourself to a god, a concept, or yourself. Whatevs, man. Light your candles and make effigies and rock it.
If a god wants you to take care of some shit, they'll come get your ass, believe me.
