There are a lot of really great free resources online.

Raja Yoga is one book that can help cover philosophies that overlap with Buddhism. Thich Nhat Hanh has written many books. Cheri Huber has written a lot of self help books that are based around Buddhist philosophy but also work as psychology.

If you live near a temple of some kind, they sometimes offer programs/meditations/talks for non Buddhists or beginning Buddhists.

anyone other than me feel spooky/anxious after meditating. Especially at night?
