Does the strongest planet in your chart influence your personality the most? My brother has a 1st house Leo Sun and Mars. 5th house Sag Moon, Neptune and South Node and 4th house Sag Jupiter and Uranus. One would think having so much fire would make for a very lively person but my brother identifies himself as an introvert and he certainly seems to be one. He's not much of a talker. According to MBTI, he's an INTP.

I'm a 3rd house Cancer Sun but just like my brother I don't share the classical traits of my Sun sign, not much at least. I'm detached and not a very family-oriented person, hardly traditional. As far as emotions, I would say they came from outside sources and not really from within myself. I'm mostly an emotional sponge which makes me tired of being around people for too long. Also a messy, not so clean, unpredictable but helpful 5th house Virgo Moon. I'm an INFJ.

I think my brother acts more like a Virgo as he is reserved, cerebral, cynical, anxious... he got both Mercury and Venus in the 2nd house there while I have both Mercury and Venus in Gemini (also in the 2nd house) and I considered myself childlike, restless and inquisitive in my most natural state. I know I have a very strong Mercury as is in its domicile, both Mercury and Venus are conjunct and retrograde and both are the focal point of a very sharp mutable t-square. But in the case of my brother, the only thing that could justify the strong influence of Virgo is Mercury being in exaltation and being in a tight square to the node, which is an aspect we share. The other aspects are wider besides Venus in Virgo being in a partile square to Uranus. Are nodal aspects and configurations maybe far more significant than other placements or aspects? Because even if my brother's Sun is dignified being in Leo and in the 1st house, he just doesn't live up to Leo's fame. So what exactly would give a planet more strength that both dignity and angularity?

I don't want to go into the relationship I have with my father but I was still pretty young when he began to suffer from paranoid delusions. It was difficult to get close to him. Lions are proud and I can deal with that, but the danger was too much for me at that age. To his eyes I wasn't his cub anymore but something to bite to deal with his rage. looking at your chart further right now i actually see that chiron and saturn are in opposition, so my guess that there was an aspect there was actually right

usually when houses have similar information there are aspects connecting them

in your case your fifth house is opposite your need to be a part of a group and feel fulfilled in that manner, your difficulty with people (in spite of being chosen by you on some level) is a wound for you and there's a lot of distrust which could be due to things that have happened to you before

Shit, I feel for you. My dad and cousin have Aries moon and HOLY SHIT they cannot contain themselves when they get upset at all and worse is it's really passive aggressive (due to air and water suns, maybe) and act like 13 year old girls when something pisses them off. Very annoying.

that's an odd comparison, pets dying aren't exactly a nonchalant thing

that being said i can easily discuss traumatic things that have happened to me with other people, especially if there's a reason

people have a tendency to tell me their problems, feelings, and life stories and i discuss my own experiences with them to illustrate my perspective when i speak to them, it helps put me on their level and makes them feel less vulnerable while they open themselves up

i've spent entire nights up with people i've barely known discussing extremely personal things to help them deal with their own problems and feelings

there are some things i've been through that i don't discuss with people unless i feel like i can trust them, and i do hide parts of myself from some people

but you can have an emotional connection or bond with someone without pouring out your souls, it just won't be as deep as one where you mutually do that

i don't see every traumatic thing that's happened to me as part of me, they've affected and shaped me, but the traumas themselves aren't me

i'm not saying that i'm without emotional problems (who is? i've never met them), but i'm saying that having issues doesn't mean you can't form bonds

i was born on a cusp too (leo/virgo), but you only have one sun sign in your case your sun sign is gemini (mine is virgo), and you actually have the same thing i do where your mercury is the other sign on the cusp (you have a taurus mercury, mine is leo)

I know people who literally threw their dogs in the garbage after they died, certain family members I have long for the day their pets die because they don't want to feed them/deal with them anymore and are almost proud of it meanwhile every time they say this I think less of them because it's disgusting to have such little regard for living creatures. I cried for days and was really depressed after my cat never came home, still randomly cry about it sometimes.

I can listen to people talk about the really horrible shit that's happened to them/things they've witnessed and be a little bit TOO empathetic (people really go through some shit it's terrible) but I do not let down my own wall even when people try to get through. Confessed some stuff to my best friend after we shared a bottle of whiskey but that's about it. Did a 4 month long stint of going on /r9k/ to really talk it out with anons and that actually helped a lot, a bit like free therapy- have trouble talking to people in general (5th house aquarius saturn with hard aspects) even casually. I just suck at it. But the ones that get through I keep close and have a deep kind of love for. Even if I haven't talked to them for years, I'll always remember them and keep them close to my heart. So yeah, was projecting there, sorry.

Also I never really studied their charts, just know they're sun/moons and have had some real awful times growing up with my dad and had a small falling out with the cousin after moving into an apartment together (never again) but still love them and all that, of course. I forgive really easily. They are fucking stubborn though, don't think they have any Taurus either that's just how they are, so it's probably genetic or something.

that seems strange to me, i've never been around people like that with their animals

growing up all the family pets were part of the family and buried or cremated, and i've had pets i still miss even now

you're talking to a guy who's cried recently over a fish dying (about a week ago actually, she's buried in a potted plant) and who would be completely heartbroken by losing any of my other pets (one in particular would be completely devastating for my fiance and i, the other two would be pretty bad too)

i think the only time i've ever wished a pet of mine would die was a bird i had during the last hour of her life, she was having nonstop seizures and i was holding her and talking to her feeling like shit because i couldn't bring myself to put her down so she'd stop suffering

i care a lot about other living creatures, plants included, and so do most of the people i'm around

i listen because people need to talk, and i'll talk when it can be useful to other people but just for myself i don't usually talk

mostly because while i'm everyone else's emotional dumping ground i rarely meet anyone who is actually capable of listening or being there for me in ways i need

which is fine, i'm not so important that i'm somehow entitled to that kind of thing and my problems don't matter really

Oh, I have a Sun/Chiron conjunction in opposition to Saturn in the 3rd/9th axis. It is out of sign but close (oº55'). It also opposites Uranus (1º07'), which may reflect how unstable my childhood was. Don't even ask about my school life, it was a carrousel of enormous proportions.

She never divorced my father. There were many reasons. She was very scared she would do something to us, so she did everything he wanted except coming back. She was also embarrassed, her marriage was a disaster. She tried her best to avoid the backlash from her very traditional family so she kept the truth to herself. She also confessed to me she felt like she owed him something (karma?). She became his provider after it became obvious he wasn't going to work again. I found a Venus/Saturn opposition in her chart (my father was 21 years older than her) in square to her nodal axis and Chiron.

I don't have good memories either but I tend to look for the bigger picture and the usefulness of such experiences. Perhaps Chiron have something to do with it.

My father married thrice, my mother was his 3rd wife and I was his last child. I was the privileged one even though my mother always tell me it was his other children who enjoyed his fortune and not me. I was the witness of all the good and bad, I believe from all his children I learned the most interesting and important stuff, actually valuable things if you can understand. It may sound insensitive and even weird but my father was a great study subject to me. The others were already married or simply didn't care to visit him (my father complained quite a lot about that), my brother tried to be outside the house as much as possible.

Here is the chart. Birthtime is from memory, not from birth records. Is probably reasonable to think his ASC is in late Cancer rather than Leo.

I always believed my brother was leading a double life. Always being shady, never saying anything. I was with him during early to mid 2015 and he never told me about his daughter. He told my mother and I receive the news from her. Apparently he was afraid I was going to judge him harshly.

Our mother's absence had caused issues no doubt. His ex girlfriend was the nurturing kind. They got along pretty well but ultimately she was like a mother to him, there wasn't real attraction there. He felt unfulfilled so he cheated, that's my guess. The need for a mother figure and since his family was dysfunctional (and later gone), there was also a need to belong to a healthy family. This ex girlfriend of him was part of one of the most closely knit, loving families I've ever seen and along the years he became another member too.

Intimidation is something I'm used to. People can't help being shy around me. I have Jupiter in the 1st house.. odd. Pluto being in the 7th could probably explain it. Pluto is 11º away from my DSC, too wide imo. My chart's ruler is Mars so could it be, just like with Scorpios, I send some aggressive and dominating vibes?
