Good morning, /x/philes.
What are your opinions on recurring/continuing dreams? Especially those over long periods of time.
I've had the same "recurring" dream since childhood. I put recurring in quotations because, as I implied earlier, it just continues from where it last left off. It's not really the same dream.
Speculation on cause(s), meaning(s), purpose(s)?
Also recurring dream general.

I've only had one recurring dream, I get it once or twice a month since I was about 6. It's basically me walking out of my kitchen, then stopping, being levated into the air, pulled through my hallway, under my bed, my teeth fall out, and then I wake up. I could probably set my watch to the time as well because I always wake up at 3:17

My recurring dreams:
1.) Driving a car and losing control. I've had these dreams since childhood. It's always a different car, always a different reason why I'm driving it, but it always goes too fast and the brakes and steering never work.
I actually don't drive at all IRL, never learned.
2.) I have lots of dreams about the first day of school. I graduated from high school 10 years ago but I dream very often that I'm in school and I'm lost. I went to a large high school that was easy to get lost in but my dreams exaggerate it, imagine moving staircases like Harry Potter.
3.) Most of my dreams happen where I'm near a body of water and have to cross it and stay dry only to fall right in and be soaked so I swim through it anyway. I'm a pretty strong swimmer so this doesn't really bother me or stress me.
