If a complete stranger finds it reasonable to talk to unknown people to establish an exchange of unknown intangibles for money, I'd be pretty sure that such intangibles a) have an use b) have value. That would actually help me reevaluate the value of such intangibles and make me think about what sort of economy goes around those things.

That's how I realized, as a kid, of the importance of my word and of my signature in social/political projects.

This means that I'd certainly bargain with a "No" answer in mind, just so I can get a better understanding of who's the stranger in OP's question, why does he want souls, what could he possibly do afterwards with it and, finally, if there are other people doing the same questions to other people.

So, in the end, the use of such an instance, for me at least, would be the money, but the information about a very, very weird situation going on.
