Is it really 13,000 years old and alien in origin or just space debris?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Knight_satellite
>>
It's a piece of insulation material from a shuttle mission in the 1980s.

How the fuck would they even date it to 13,000 years? Do you think before you ask these questions?
>>
>>18113322

its obviously a Space Witch on her broomstick
>>
>>18113336
they have carbon dating tecniques you asshole!!
It also may have originated from a planet located in the solar system of star Epsilon Boötis which makes sense if you think about it!
>>
>>18113336

>he doesn't know about the secret NASA mission to date the black knight
>>
>>18113347
If you have a 14,000 year old artifact it's entirely plausible to date with a carbon sample.

But according to the "lore" of all this bullshit, when did NASA ever intercept and capture the satellite? And if they did, why would it be some mysterious mystery?

Did they capture it and still hold it in Area 51? And some secret mole happened to leak that it was 13,000 years old?
>>
>>18113347
No it doesn't. It's debris.
>>
>>18113359
it was a secret space suttle mission you dummie! they dated it and then let it go afterwords
>>
>>18113322
Why people lose their shit over this, don't we have tons of trash floating up there? Is it that rare that the country owner of that shit would stay silent for whatever reason?
>>
>>18113322
Well in the wiki article it says its in a near-polar orbit. I dont know if the shuttle could do those polar orbits.
>>
>>18113347
I have a fun exercise for you. Please explain in your own words how you think carbon dating works, and how you suppose it could be used to calculate the approximate date of manufacture for an inorganic tool.
>>
>>18113409
Why would the shuttle not be able to orbit over the poles. Do you know how orbit works?
>>
>>18113409
The wikipedia article makes that claim, but it's unsupported.

The Space Shuttle could have launched into polar orbit but never did. The object in OP's pic is in a standard equatorial orbit.
>>
Nazi space junk
>>
>>18113347
You can't carbon date something that wasn't made naturally.
>>
>>18113416
That was very patient anon.

This.

Thank you, based anon.
>>
>>18113509
Oh how silly of us to assume that a metal object in space came from a metal object we put in space, of COURSE it makes more sense that spooky grey men with the technology to travel light-years put a hunk of metal into orbit with no reason or protection.
Haha, because humans DOING SOMETHING pshh, pure fantasy, unproven species, THAT'S the REAL truth.
>>
>>18113416
they take carbon and use it to date the material.
DUH!
>>
>>18113524
Except it was there before we sent anyone into space
Except no one has got a good answer as to what it was, that isn't NASA utter BS
Except, you can see it your self sometimes on the ICC cameras
Except, the only answer NASA has given, is that its a thermal blanket
Except, NASA also stated A) It was there before they lost the blanket B) It's a solid object c) Its approxmit mass is about 10 tonnes. (That's a big blanket you got there NASA, must be for the giant space mafia bear wizards right)
Except anyone who can google and not end on a wiki page can realize this thing is more than a simple rock or blanket randomly wobbling around us.
>>
black nigger satellite threads are bait threads
>>
Question:

Are we discussing the space blanket in OP's pic, or are we discussing all of the objects which exist in polar orbits around Earth?

>Black Knight is a jumble of completely unrelated stories; reports of unusual science observations, authors promoting fringe ideas, classified spy satellites and people over-interpreting photos. These ingredients have been chopped up, stirred together and stewed on the internet to one rambling and inconsistent dollop of myth.

Now fuck off.

They dated it by someone decoding the signal it supposedly produces and it claimed to be from another star system and 13,000 years old.

Of course the tinfools ignore the part where that guy retracted his statement and said he made some blatant errors in his decoding.
