I've read about staircases in the woods before. Never really put much thought into it.

I have some free time and I'm not afraid of whatever might happen if I climb one. Is there any way to find one without randomly wandering around the woods? Is there a map or some coords somewhere?

And, what's the logical explanation? Other than the glaringly obvious. That stair ways are the strongest part of the budding and thus the last to collapse. While that may be true for some, a lot of the cases I've seen don't fit that explanation. Like the ones in national parks, or made from very old stone in places where people didn't know stone work a thousand years ago. Like America. We don't have castles here.
