/x/ likes Halloween, right?
I'm planning a party, and the theme is lovecraft mythos. Trying to brainstorm ideas and would love any imput.
Pic is some junk I got during a recent trip to goodwill. Thinking of making a sort of alchemist's lab with some of the pieces.

Those obelisks are pretty sweet. I could see craft painting those with tendrils creeping up the sides.
For dessert you could frost a cake with black frosting and stick a crapton of candy eyeballs on it.
Or a piethulhu.
Drinks! There are lovecraft themed games. Never played them though.
Pour salt on all the grass in the front yard of all your guest and comment on how odd it is that all the guest invited to your parties grass is dying.

The games are pretty sweet, they're actually how I got introduced to the mythos.
Elder Sign revolves around rolling dice and playing cards to improve your die pool, while Arkham Horror is essentially tabletop RPG lite with set characters, in board game format. Arkham Horror is a blast if you've got a dedicated group with a 2-4 hour attention span, but if your guests are more casual go with Elder Sign.
I haven't played Eldritch Horror but I've heard it's sub-par.
BTW, the eyeball cake idea was based on this lovely lady.
