I want to learn astrology to be able to read people charts and help them. I was wondering where woils be my best bet to learn? Certain books? I have tried Google but it oby sends me to new age stuff.

You wouldnt need a book either. You can literally make up your own shit and it would be as valid.
The key for a good horoscope is, to make it sound vague but meaningful, so that it is always right, if people are naive enough to suck it up.

The Introductions to Traditional Astrology by Ben. Dykes is great.
This author is an astrologer but also a doctor in philosophy. Therefore he undestand well the underlaying cosmology above which astrology is built.
